Advance Booking Opens for Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj

Helmed by Tinu Suresh Desai ‘Mission Ranignaj’ is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor.

Advance booking for the highly anticipated Bollywood movie, “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue,” starring Akshay Kumar, is now open. The film, set to release on October 6, 2023, is generating excitement among fans and film enthusiasts. However, early reports suggest that the movie’s advance booking may not be as brisk as anticipated.

On the first day of advance booking, “Mission Raniganj” managed to collect 78.02 Lakhs in total ticket sales, according to Sacnilk. The movie tells the gripping tale of a daring rescue mission at India’s oldest coalfield, Raniganj Coalfields, where 65 miners were trapped in 1989. The heroic efforts of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, an alumnus of IIT Dhanbad, are central to the story as he led the mission to rescue all the miners.

Despite the intriguing premise and Akshay Kumar’s star power, early reports from Koimoi indicate that, as of Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 1:30 pm, only 2000 tickets have been sold across the three major national cinema chains: PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. It is expected that the final tally of advance bookings will remain below the 10,000 mark due to the slow pace of sales.

“Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” marks the debut of Jackky Bhagnani’s Jjust Music in the world of Original Soundtracks (OST). The film’s soundtrack promises to be a soulful and evocative musical journey that will resonate with audiences.

The film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor. Akshay Kumar previously collaborated with director Tinu Suresh Desai on the crime thriller ‘Rustom.’ In “Mission Raniganj,” Parineeti Chopra plays the role of the female lead, adding to the film’s star-studded cast.

In addition to “Mission Raniganj,” Akshay Kumar has an exciting lineup of projects. He will be seen in the Hindi remake of the Tamil drama ‘Soorarai Pottru,’ scheduled to hit theaters on February 16, 2024. Akshay also has an action thriller film, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ alongside Tiger Shroff, and a comedy film, ‘Housefull 5,’ in the pipeline. Furthermore, he is set to star in ‘SkyForce,’ a film that portrays the bravery, emotion, and patriotism of the men in uniform involved in India’s first and deadliest airstrike against Pakistan, directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur.

Stay tuned for the release of “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” on October 6, 2023, as it promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience.
