Hizbul Terrorist’s Brother Waves Tricolour in J&K

‘I waved the Tiranga from my heart. There was no pressure from anyone...Saare jahaan se achha Hindustan humara, hum bulbule hain iske ye gulistan hamara’, Rayees Mattoo, brother of terrorist Javid Mattoo, says ahead of Independence Day.

The spirit of patriotism is alive and thriving as India prepares to celebrate its 77th Independence Day. In Jammu and Kashmir, the fervor is especially strong, evident in heartwarming stories like that of Rayees Mattoo, the brother of a Hizbul terrorist, who waved the Tricolour from his residence in Sopore.

A viral video captured Rayees Mattoo hoisting the national flag as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, despite his brother’s association with a terrorist group. Javid Mattoo, his brother, is an active Hizbul terrorist based in Pakistan. Rayees Mattoo shared that his act of waving the Tricolour was heartfelt and free from external pressure.

“I waved the Tiranga from my heart. There was no pressure from anyone…Saare jahaan se achha Hindustan hamara, hum bulbule hain iske ye gulistan hamara,” Rayees Mattoo told news agency ANI.

Rayees Mattoo also conveyed a powerful message to misguided youth, urging them to come into the mainstream under the Indian flag. He highlighted the positive changes in the region, including development, reduced violence, and a focus on justice. “If he is alive, I urge him to come back…The situation has changed, Pakistan can’t do anything…Hum Hindustani the, hain aur rahenge,” Rayees added.

As India approaches its Independence Day, expressions of patriotism are visible across the nation. In Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda, the Ganpat Bridge was illuminated in the Tricolour’s colors, and a Tiranga rally was organized, with people proudly chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha flagged off the ‘Tiranga Rally’ to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ ahead of Independence Day. Sinha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for uniting the people of Kashmir through enthusiasm and patriotism.

The gesture of Rayees Mattoo, amidst his brother’s involvement in terrorism, showcases the unwavering love for the country that continues to inspire and unite people across India.
