PM Modi reasserts his commitment to fight corruption, parivarvaad and appeasement

In his 10th Independence Day speech at the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi subtly critiqued Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, shedding light on the adverse impact of “parivarvaad” (dynasty politics) and appeasement within the nation. He questioned the validity of a political party being monopolized by a single family, terming it as a mantra of “party of the family, by the family, and for the family.” Corruption, nepotism, and appeasement were unequivocally condemned as three grave vices that demand eradication.

With unwavering determination, Prime Minister Modi reasserted his lifelong commitment to combating corruption and dismantling the sway of dynasty politics. He proclaimed these practices as eroders of people’s rights and detractors from the nation’s character. He fervently stressed the imperative of a resolute struggle against these three plagues: corruption, dynasty politics i.e. Parivarvaad, and appeasement.

PM Modi accentuated the magnitude of his administration’s anti-corruption endeavors, spotlighting accomplishments like unearthing and eliminating 10 crore fraudulent beneficiaries from welfare schemes and a staggering 20-fold surge in the confiscation of unlawfully acquired assets.

Interestingly, during this discourse, PM Modi took on a distinct tone, addressing the populace as his “family members” instead of the customary “fellow citizens.” Throughout his speech, he referred to the people as “parivaarjan (family members),” marking a departure from his previous usage of “my beloved brothers and sisters.”

This particular address denoted PM Modi’s ultimate Independence Day speech prior to the 2024 general elections. He pledged to provide an account of the country’s achievements in his next August 15 address from the Red Fort, instilling reassurance within the nation. His speech carried a resounding call to action against corruption, dynasty politics, and appeasement, while also spotlighting his government’s accomplishments in curtailing corruption and safeguarding the welfare framework.
