Punjab Cabinet Approves One Time Settlement Scheme

The cabinet also gave its nod to double the Ex-Gratia grant of disabled soldiers

In a significant Diwali gift to traders in the state, the Punjab Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has granted approval for the introduction of the Punjab One Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme. This scheme aims to settle pre-GST arrears, benefiting over 60,000 traders in the state.

 

The Chief Minister’s office shared this announcement, highlighting the positive impact on the trader community. Additionally, the Cabinet approved several other schemes and initiatives during the meeting. These include:

 

 

 

 

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared his thoughts after the cabinet meeting, expressing his government’s commitment to the welfare of the youth and the armed forces. He announced the doubling of the ex-gratia amount for soldiers disabled during wars and an increase in the assistance amount as war jagir to the families of those who were victims of the 1962-1971 war.

 

The Chief Minister emphasized that his government stands by its promises, taking tangible steps to support and uplift various sections of society. This decision reflects the administration’s dedication to addressing the needs and concerns of traders, pilgrims, soldiers, and the administrative cadre within the state.
