Anjana Om Kashyap is a popular Indian news anchor. She is an executive editor of the Hindi news channel Aaj Tak. She is known for her shows Halla Bol and Special Report on Aaj Tak. She also hosts audience based election debate shows. She has been a major contributor to the success of Aaj Tak. Her presenting style is quite aggressive.
Personal Life :
Anjana Om Kashyap was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand on 12 June 1975. Her father, Dr. Om Prakash Tiwari was a medical Professional. She had completed his schooling from Loreto Convent School, Ranchi. After her school, she gave several medical admission tests but unfortunately, she could not have got it.
After that, Anjana decided to pursue her education and completed her graduation in Botany from Daulat Ram College in Delhi. While preparing for the UPSC Civil Services, Anjana had obtained good information about many National and international issues. And this proved to be the turning point of her life, after that she thought of becoming a journalist. And she joined Jamia Millia Islamia and earned a diploma in Journalism.
Anjana Om Kashyap belongs to the Bhumihar Brahmin Community. She is married to a senior IPS officer Mangesh Kashyap, working in Delhi Police Department. Presently, she lives with her family in New Delhi. They both have a daughter and a son.
Career of Anjana om Kashyap :
Anjana Om Kashyap started her career and did his first job in Doordarshan’s program Ankhon Dekhi in 2003. After working for a few days in Doordarshan, she joined Zee News. She worked in Zee News for about five years before joining News 24 in 2007. Her debate show DoTook, on News24 was very popular. She then shifted to Star News before joining Aaj Tak. And she is still working with Aaj Tak as a Senior Editor and News Anchor.
Now, Anjana is among the famous news presenters of India. She hosts a famous debate show on Aaj Tak named Halla Bol. Earlier, Anjana Om Kashyap presented two election based shows like Dilli Ke Dil Mein Kya Hai and RajTilak. Everyone appreciated the splendid reporting done by her in RajTilak. Controversy :
While reporting about the 2019 Bihar encephalitis outbreak she entered the ICU at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital. She was criticized for her disregard of ICU aseptic precautions and inappropriate behavior towards the doctor. The Indian Medical Association filed a complaint against her, stating that her actions had endangered the lives of children and were an attempt to gain fake publicity.
