Keerthy Suresh is an Indian actress who works mainly in South Film Industry, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She is recipient of various accolades including a National Film Awards, three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. she was also placed in Forbes India’s 30 Under 30 list of 2021.
Keerthy Suresh was born on 17 October 1992 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Her father G Suresh Kumar is a Malayali filmmaker, and her mother Menaka is an actress of Tamil origin. She has an elder sister Revathy Suresh. Keerthy did her schooling in Chennai, Tamil Nadu upto class four. She then studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram. She then joined the Pearl Academy Chennai, where she completed her degree in fashion design.
Career :
Keerthy Suresh started her career as a child actress in a few of her father’s productions, such as Pilots (2000), Achaneyanenikkishtam (2001) and Kuberan (2002) and some television serials. In 2013, She made her debut as a lead actress in Priyadarshan’s horror film Geethaanjali, for which she won SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Malayalam. In 2015, Keerthy appeared in A. L. Vijay’s Tamil romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, opposite Vikram Prabhu, for which she won SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Tamil.
Then Keerthy Suresh never looked back and worked extensively in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She worked in many successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Nenu Sailaja (2016), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Thaanaa Serndha Koottam (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022).
