Pia Bajpai aka Pia Bajpiee is an Indian film actress and model, who appears in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi Movies. She is best known for her starring roles as Roshini in Venkat Prabhu’s comedy Goa and Saro in K. V. Anand’s political thriller Ko. Before acting in films, she had done several advertising campaigns, commercials, print ads, and music videos. She describes herself as a fitness freak and goes to the gym whenever she gets time.
Pia Bajpai was born in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India on 22 december 1993. She moved to Delhi to attend a computer course, against the will of her parents, at the age of fifteen, hoping to get a break in the movies. After a year Pia moved to Mumbai and began working as a dubbing artiste for television serials. Unhappy and depressed with that job as well, she entered the field of modeling and was cast in a number of ads, print advertisements, commercials and music videos.
Pia Bajpai’s most recognized ads have been those alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in commercials for Cadbury and Sonata respectively. She managed to gain recognition after she appeared in an ad directed by the well known director Priyadarshan and it became a platform for her to break into films.
Pia made her movie debut in 2008 with the Tamil comedy Poi Solla Porom. She debuted in the Telugu industry with the film Ninnu Kalisaka in 2009. She subsequently made her debut in Malayalam and Hindu in the films, Masters and Laal Rang, respectively. She won Vijay Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Saraswathi in the Tamil film Ko.
